Yery Marrero

BACKGROUND

Yery has focused her practice on representing individuals and corporations that are being investigated by law enforcement or have pending charges in both state and federal courts throughout the United States. She has also effectively represented many clients charged with offenses ranging from misdemeanors to first-degree murder offenses.

In 1998, Yery opened her own practice, and in 2000, she joined forces with Susan Bozorgi to form Marrero Bozorgi. The firm is dedicated to representing individuals and corporations under investigation or charged with criminal offenses, with an emphasis on white collar crimes. Yery has litigated in both state and federal courts throughout the country and has tried over 75 jury trials. She has a wide range of criminal defense experience, representing clients facing anything from minor criminal offenses to cases eligible for the death penalty and complex white collar criminal offenses.

I represent good people in bad situations

Yery is very active in the wider legal community, both as a member of professional boards and as a legal analyst and commentator on Spanish-language television. She was appointed by the governor and served on the DUI Review Board for the Florida Department of Safety and Motor Vehicles, as well being a Traffic Magistrate for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit for Miami-Dade County.

Yery stays politically active, having served on various political committees and offering my services as treasurer for a number of judicial campaigns. Martindale-Hubbell has recognized her as an AV® Preeminent™ attorney, the highest rating available for an individual lawyer. She is also the Chair of a local private school board of trustees.
